POY is pre-oriented, full name: PRE-ORIENTED YARN or PARTIALLY ORIENTED YARN. Refers to an incomplete stretch of synthetic filaments obtained between high-speed and non-oriented and drawn yarns obtained by high-speed spinning. Compared with the undrawn yarn, it has a certain degree of orientation, good stability, often used as tensile false twisted yarn (DTY) of the special wire. Polyester DTY is a tensile deformation wire, full name: DRAW TEXTURED YARN. Is the use of POY to do the original wire, stretching and false twist deformation made of processing. Often have a certain degree of flexibility and contraction. FDY: full stretch silk. Full name: FULL DRAW YARN. A further synthetic filament filaments were prepared by spinning. The fibers have been fully stretched and can be used directly for textile processing.

Pull by hand, the general POY can be pulled more long, FDY is pulled less. Because POY is pre-oriented, there is no complete stretch, the remaining elongation to 50% or more; and FDY is fully oriented wire, the remaining elongation is generally below 40%, relatively stable.

Appearance: DTY fiber is curled, POY and FDY fiber is straight, and FDY's strength is better, POY strength almost.

FDY force slightly pulled down between the fiber will be the phenomenon of mutual adhesion is dry closed. The difference between the cationic DTY and the polyester DTY is to see the gloss, the cationic luster is good, and the bright, class is intended to light the DTY. But with the light there is a little difference. Bright light is pan white, and cationic flesh color.
